I sent a printout of our boat for review. For it back right away and wow I was impressed. But I had a revision….got that back right away. And then I had another revision….got that back on Memorial Day!! Finalized the picture, font and words and wowzer we love it!!!! Best birthday present ever for my husband. The print on the glass has dimension and the shirt is perfect! Highly recommend!
AI COULD NEVER!!!! I had to make a few edits. I didn’t love the fact that the Bimini wasn’t deployed. I didn’t like the fact that the tower speakers weren’t in the art. And I wanted to include the logo on the swim platform. All of these changes were made after one request. I am so happy they understood what I wanted and fixed it in one rendition

The quality is good, on the mens long sleeve shirt they didn’t place a hailing port on the back side like the other shirts had, it will be interesting to see how the logos stand up to washing
The final artwork is definitely 5-stars. The review and editing process was a bit cumbersome...it would be nice to be able to mark-up the artwork using online editing tools versus either downloading, editing and then uploading the file or describing the mark-up using words. The final results were fantastic!
We had some merch made up with another online outfit and the products were thin and cheap. Made the switch to Custom Captain and finally can get awesome personalized gear made up. Very pleased with the products!

My experience with Custom Captain was excellent, exactly like I had hoped. We got a nice graphic designed for the boat and graphics done for apparel. Ordered the decals, applied them and they look great. Still waiting on our first order of apparel but based on what I’ve seen so far, I’m sure it’s going to be great! I highly recommend Custom Captain!
It takes 5-7 days for our artists to digitally recreate your boat and send you your first proof. From there, if you request revisions it is typically 2-3 days per revision, depending on complexity. Please note: during peak holiday times delivery times can vary.
Absolutely! We email you a proof of your artwork for you to approve or request edits to. We offer unlimited revisions so we'll keep working with you until you're happy with the design.

We simply charge $30 per person & pet that our artists create for your custom boat design. If you would like to do this, please make a note in your order notes or email help@thecustomcaptain.com with your request and our team will take care of it!
Our artists are pretty good, but there are some guidelines to make sure your photo is acceptable for our artists to work with.
If you submit a photo that won't work, we'll be sure to email you ASAP and work with you to select a new one that meets our criteria.
Once you approve your custom digital boat artwork, we will send you PNG, JPG and Ai files of your design and logo.
We also keep these files in our system so if you ever lose them you can just come back and download them again.
If you don't have a good photo but want to order, do a google search for your boat make and model.
Download the image that is closest to your boat and use that one!
We can change the color, add some small features, and put your boat name and port beneath the photo to make it yours. Just remember, make sure you like the angle of the photo, because we can't change the angle of the illustration.
